Message Gasoline is gasoline. There are varying levels of octane you can get. If you live in an area where you can only get 92 octane gas, and you see a dragstrip that sells 97, then I guess you can call it race gas if you want. But in some other areas, you might be able to get 100 octane all over the place. Near my house all the Sunocos had 104 Ultra. And it was a reasonable price. So I'd call that pump gas.
